The HDMI Booster has an adjustment on a special designed equalizer that can be adjusted to give the best picture quality on a long HDMI cable. For best results adjust the EQ from 0 to 7, according to the different length of HDMI cable. It also comes with an AC adapter to provide additional voltage and current to drive a long HDMI cable.
NOTE: These HDMI boosters works only at the end, or near the HDTV, not at the source device. The HDMI booster is placed near the display to remove any noise that has been generated by a long HDMI cable. Connect the output of the source device into the input of HDMI Repeater and connect the output to the HDMI display unit. The HDMI Repeater is put close to the HDMI display unit (Input cables are optional)
According to the length of HDMI cable the special designed EQ can be adjusted to reach the best transmission function. This HDMI Booster adopts the iron shell for better EMI elimination and it will clean out the digital noise (sparkles) in your picture.

A: It has been tested with a Mac Pro and 4KTV and it worked at these refresh rates 4096 x 2160 could not adjust refresh rates 3840 x 2160 refresh rates of 24, 25 and 30 we do not have a TV that supports 4K at 60 Hertz yet but I would assume this booster would also work.
