It is also downward compatible with USB 2.0 or 1.1 devices. An additional 5 volt regulator on the receiver end will boost the power to compensate for power hungry USB cameras.CUSB3V1-AP* cables are compatible with virtually all USB 3.0 and 3.1 Gen1 devices, and are a perfect solution for extending 4K videoconferencing cameras, video capture, docking stations, and other high-speed data communication.
They also work with USB 2.0 or 1.1 devices although this feature is only available for PCs running Windows™ and needs a driver installation.
