NOTE: This product cannot work. See the above SIMILAR Tab for equivalent products or, if not there, call us at 800-841-9238 right now to discuss your needs. If you need to convert HDMI to coax see our HDMI to coax converters.
If you have a coax (RF) coming out of your wall and want to connect HDMI to it you can't as that coax cable is needing a connection to a cable box. You need to call your cable company and buy a cable box from them or review our high definition tuners.
If you need to convert an HDMI signal to HDMI via an existing coax cable see our HDMI to Coax back to HDMI Adapters.
HDMI is purely digital (1's and 0's) signal while VGA is completely analog (waveforms) so an Coax to HDMI Cable cannot convert digital signal to waveforms as a cable is a passive device made up of wire, solder and 2 connectors. The HDMI digital signal sent through 19 digital lines in the HDMI cable and delivered via the HDMI connector cannot be used by any analog coax that uses an analog signal input lines.
This Coax to HDMI Cable doesn't work because:
- HDMI is digital and the coax output is analog so a Coax to HDMI Cable won't work.
- HDMI has 19 pins and the VGA has only 15 so an Coax to HDMI Cable won't work.
- HDMI has the HDCP copy protection signal whereas there is no VGA equivalent so a Coax to HDMI Cable won't work.
- A cable is a passive device made up of 2 connectors, solder and wires. It cannot convert one signal type into another so a Coax to HDMI Cable won't work.
