This 4-2 HDMI Matrix Router allows up to 4-HDMI ports to be switched to two independent displays. The four outputs can display different sources from different inputs simultaneously. The matrix switch is 4K Ultra HD HDMI 1.4a compliant and supports all past HDMI versions.

Optionally, use the IR extender capability and control your source devices from the viewing location. The Unique Backward-IR Channel allows you to control devices at the viewing location from the source equipment location. The remote extender function utilizes the optional kit listed above, which includes a target, an HDMI target insertion adapter, and a flood emitter that should be placed across from the source components to be controlled. The target plugs into adapter at the end of the HDMI cable that connects it to the display (ensure the adapter is set to IR) and inserts IR over the HDMI cable back to the matrix. Q: I see the the HDMI extenders come with 2-remote IR cables, will the remote IR work with this matrix?
A: No, the cables are used when the application has one source and one widescreen. They can't be used with this matrix ad need to be set aside and not used.
